we raided queenstown today,but to my disappointment most of the shoes i liked ran out of sizes.

well,3 weeks ago i was sitting on NZ 1952,waiting in anticipation,wondering what was in store for me down under.
3 weeks on, i can proudly say that I SURVIVED THE OUTBACK!

training's been fun,realistic and enjoyable.so many first times and new experiences for me
saw kangeroos and emuls in the wild.
night was freezing with temperature at 7 degrees
but the magnificent blanket of stars that dotted the sky made up for it
day was hot like hell up to 38 degrees but we were lucky to have the clouds
plus the humidity level there's like sub zero.damn dry!i luv it dry.wahaha
witnessed forest fire upclose
the sunset there influences a beautiful gradient upon the cloudless sky
scenery there will leave you speechless
many many other fun stuff that's RESTRICTED and cant be mentioned here for OBVIOUS REASONS.haa

R&R was fun too!my motel had LCD TV sia.woohoo!
australian babes are generally rather hot.
food's superb but kinda ex.
and they end the day like super duper early.
their amount of space there's madness.everything's so spaced out and unrestricted!no high rise buildings in sight and the backdrop's just mountains.woo.love it.

with the sea breeze carassing my face and the choppy seawater bobbing my sea vehicle up and down.

caught liverpool's spectacular 2-1 victory @ manda's house before we peng till 0430 when it was time to leave for ahm.0430!omg i really didnt felt like waking up.





4 hours later i was a finisher of 21km!


it was a wonderful run,although i felt that i could have push myself harder.nevertheless, i enjoyed it!paced yifan all the way.wahaha




























3 days of irregular sleeping pattern caused me to knock out after i came home this afternoon.i was so into lala land that i didnt realize that kit into my room and left.LOL!

heat rash(after a 2d2n exercise?!?!)!thank goodness i'm feeling better now...i think?haha.in view of heat rash my input > output,hence resulting in my tummy now.wahaha.excuses.better start exercising soon!AHM is like next week can.i can do this!

after a year of 'null-bowling', the next time i played was today's tournament!we were so close to a trophy!27 pins to be exact...screwed up my first game-108,166,172. it was seriously such a close fight.nvm,there's always next year!wahaha

this week was like the best ever.haa.mon and fri off which meant a 3 day work week.things just cant get any better.to top it up there was a bbq and a happy hour during the 3 day work week!woohoo.my camp just suddenly seem so happening eh.if only every week's like this.IF ONLY.lol

but ah...there's always a catch.some scum of society nipped my psp while i was out of my bunk.grr.may he burn in hell!seriously man...but there's just nothing i could do.sigh
nvm,i have my slim & lite!woohoo.mich couldnt resist the tempetation and bought one too.wahahah =D

my heart pounded with everystep i take.my back's aching but my mind pushes me on,mind over body as they say.i look around me-pitch dark.i flicked on my night vision and my surroundings was suddenly lit up by a blanket of green light,illuminating my path before me.navigating in the dark was already difficult enough, not to mention the weight of an entire company resting upon my shoulders.one wrong turn and it could meant misorientation for 100 odd men following behind me.the guys must be cursing and swearing at how endless the trail seemed,especially those with heavy weapons.i came to a halt at a cross juntion; left or right?upon instinct,i took the right path.after a couple metres,a cleaved log told me that i was on the right track.thank goodness.

a few hours later, dawn had broken and we were doing our re-organization of forces.Objective .265 fell after a fierce half an hour long fire fight with us emerging victorious.Casualties were inevitable,the wounded and dead were carried to collection points where they were either treated or piled up.

"alright!grab your gear and commanders deploy your individual mens' trenches."

we then transited into defence.

my boots dirty and my body aching.foot rot and heat rash were 2 very irritating momentos from the exercise.it's the same old boring routine once again.wonder how long would it take for this one to heal.sigh.i hate heat rash.grr.i hate outfield.dirty,disgusting,gross and muddy.blah.

AIT's finally over!!but there's more shit to come in the days ahead.

surprise surprise! my section was awarded the best section in the company!wahahaha.we're came in 2nd in the battallion. *claps* shallnt go into detail about the section proficiency test.i nearly gave up hope back then.but thru sheer determination and many litres of sweat expelled,we won!lol.dramatic.

went for commanders' cohesion which started with a feast at newton food centre(OC's treat! wahaha) followed by ironman at the cathay.i kinda caught only half the story.lol.after the movie we went for kpool where i witness the injustice liverpool suffered at stamford bridge.grr.went back camp for guard duty at about 5.30am zombified.LOL.

demolition range was a waste of time.we so could have booked out much much earlier.went for dinner at hk cafe(shiok!) followed by an imba game of risk before joining my class for supper.as usual i was only half awake by the time i joined them.Zz.think i'm seriously suffering from sleep disorder.

tennis was fun yesterday!noobs SERVING instead of PLAYING.lmao.we were awed by airport T3 after that.airport's really a city of its own!love it there.

i offically declare i'm goin thru a financial crisis.NEED MORE MONEY!haha.i'm spending $$$ like nothing.need.control.so much for saving.lol

outfield was tiring,esp the stupid march there and back.struggled to complete
came back with foot rot,heat rash and bites all over.then again whats new.

reached home only yesterday afternoon and i will be back in a couple of hours time-preparing for tomorrow's field camp.

yesterday i was COS cum sig ic cum armskote.thank goodness it was only yesterday.

i wanna go for IPSC!then i can relax.at least for 8 days.haha.

i've just received the ability to receive more sai kang.lol.you might think it's not the right way to look at a promotion,but thats exactly how i feel.initially i rejoiced(mainly because of the $$$), but when reality starts to sink in,it can seriously be depressing.with great power comes great responsibility.what a suitable phrase.i can feel the tremendous pressure building up already.just hope that i dont buckle under it.

everyweek end when i meet my friends,i'm reminded of the cold hard fact that majority of them are leading a non-combatant life.shortly after that i'll have to deal with what i'll call the silent scream.lol.one day that silent scream will turn into a shrill sharp scream.wahaha.i dont think anyone will really understand.

sometimes it's better to slack and chao geng.

how nice it will be to just run far far away.away from all troubles.

5 and a half weeks.it's finally over.

although i didnt really enjoy the course as a whole,i'm still proud that i graduated from ASTW and made a few friends along the way.

i'm gonna miss PLC with rocky hill mess and the camp as a whole!

went back MHC to put my stuff yesterday after the course outprocessing,went up to my bunk and i realised i missed out quite alot.new men in the platoon,new pc(from tpjc somemore!).wonder hows life gonna be in future.nevertheless,certain things were just the same.like my bunk's as messy as ever.LOL.

well,come what may,i'm ready(hmmm..lol)!

life at camp's pretty bad,overworked.duties,projects and problems concerning the recurits.
you must be constantly doing work or arrows will start flying.
the system is unfair but there's nothing we can do.
there is just so much we can do.
i think MOST of us need a break.
not all of us though.

doing all the work but not getting recognized-i guess thats what specialists' pride is all about.

well, my platoon sergeant course's date's confirmed,i'm gonna have to miss my men's pop.sadded...
not to mention that i've heard lots of story about the course.scary...

after 1 week at my grandma's i've finally moved back.woohoo.

i'm not saying that it's not nice living at grandma's.it was quite fun living there actually,eat sleep shit watch tv and play psp.haha..and all my meals taken care of.change of environment did me some good too,furthermore the house's within walking distance of tampines central!

just that it wouldnt been nice to stay out late if i was staying there as i didnt have a set of house keys.
and the place lacks a computer with internet connection
not to mention cable tv

so i decided that home's the best.lol

went sgh for medical review this morning.at the end of the whole thing,the lady at the cashier told me 'that would be 55 dollars thank you'.i was stunned for a moment,cos all the doc did was to take a look at me,did a blood test and wrote down some words on a card!omg. 55 dollars-just for literally SEEING the doc.zZ.

then i whipped out my 11B, and everything was settled-the power of the SAF credit card.MUAHAHAHA.thats the good thing about serving NS,your backside's almost fully if not fully covered =D

but i'll gladly trade all that for my pink ic ANYTIME.lol

well,life's been quite a roller coaster ride for me of recent.
let's see..
fell sick after coming back from taiwan,
went cgh twice but still didnt recover,
went sgh and was HOSPITALISED!

my virgin hospital stay-to sum it up-boring+boring+BORING.hah
the hospital's a really boring place that i'll NEVER EVER wanna stay EVER AGAIN.
the first few days was really horrible..fever was still playing roller coaster with me,plus i had bad headache and vomitted almost everything i ate..

well,12 days of fever and 7 days spent in hospital later,i was diagnosed with scrub typhus,bestowed upon me most prob by some mites from certain forest in taiwan.

i thought i wasnt gonna make it.looking back it was pure stupid thinking.lol..but i must really thank my family-they visited me EVERYDAY without fail(esp my parents and grandparents).not to forget the friends that visited me at sgh-you guys really brightened up my day! =D

now i'm discharged and resting at my grandmum's =]




gone with my stay in hospital is my passing out parade-really sucked while you're lying in hospital while all your friends pass out..well,it's over.although i didnt attend my POP,but ASLC's offically over and i'm now offically a SERGEANT!12 weeks of fun filled excitment-looking back at day 1,it really felt just like last yesterday..really pity i couldnt take any last photos.

a bonus i took away from sispec =P
it's a recognition of my good performance-but it's also something that gave me my sucky posting-1 SIR platoon sergeant =[

you can say that i hate my new posting but there's nothing i can do about it.1 SIR is here to stay in my life for the next 1yr 3 months.everyone else's getting a good life =[

went down to my new camp to endorse my mc(btw i'm on mc till 8dec =D ).

-first of all the camp's in the middle of nowhere with only 1 bus service which comes from chua chu kang central.
-secondly,all the new sergeants reported 'cept for me due to my mc.
-thirdly they started their unit induction for the new sergeants today,which means i'm gonna miss out alot and will be like a lost sheep when i report on 8dec
-fourthly,6 days later my new batch of men(13th mono intake) will be reporting and i wont be there to receive them-so much for being platoon sergeant
-my captain gave me the feeling that he thinks i'm 'chao geng-ing'

so,ya,first impressions aint good at all.long term mc on first day of duty.
hopefully everything will run smoothly and i'll be able to fit in on 8dec.

my kneecaps are still feeling very weak..sure hope they recover fast,esp before i return to camp.

YO EVERYONE-i'm blogging live from TAIPEI!!training's over and now i'm into my second day of rest & recreation in taipei!time now is 0221,i'm @ a cyber cafe far away from our hotel(shhh..we're not supposed to be out at this time! =D).

taiwan's great so far,done a GREAT deal of shopping-feeling DAMN SHAG now...gonna return to our hotel soon.shall do another entry complete with photos once i reach back sg!

blogging from camp!just realised that my camp has this mess room that's equipped with computer,tv with dvd capabilities and freaking COLD aircon.COOL.

last week was bad
this week's ok so far
next week will be better! =]

being optimistic always rocks.

we are seriously booking out too little during weekends,stupid live firings.grr.
feeling outta sorts of late.better find myself back,fast.

my life seemed to have stopped at field camp eh?haha.fast forward one month + ,completed my basic section leader course last week and will be proceeding to start on my advanced section leader course come tomorrow.woohoo!

when our postings were revealed last week and i know that i was posted back to PLC for ASLC,i felt as though my sky caved in.ASLC's supposed to be the most unpopular posting..no one wants to get ASLC and i was lucky enough to get it.woohoo!furthermore i was drafted into the most xiong company in the camp.zZ.on my way home after that i nearly lost my camp pass!wth.on the same day i injuried my leg at MOS at nite.bloody hell, i thought lady luck had forsaken me forever.grr.lol

after awhile i finally told myself to heck it and just go through with the course.must think POSTIVE!wahahaha.11weeks-endure 7 weeks and we'll be off to taiwan for 3 weeks!woohoo.now i just hope that my leg recovers soon so that i can cope with training.

11 weeks of fun filled excitment.

2 weeks into my course at sispec.life there's pretty ok,for now that is.we are treated more like privates and no longer recurits.food at sispec cookhouse is better than that of tekong cookhouse.people there are generally nice,with a few exceptions.


however,



I STILL DONT LIKE IT THERE.

i want my civilian status back =[

fri nite book out,sun nite book in,chiong for 5 days,fri nite book out,sun nite book in,chiong for 5 days.the cycle goes on.sometimes it's gonna be sat afternoon book out instead of fri nite.

i look at my friends with much more slack vocations and i ask myself.ISST WORTH IT??

8 more weeks to go before i get 3 days break and its back to the same old thing once again.



really really looking forward to 090209.
