X Physique

wa...been weeks liao...i still haven blogged it down...19th feb 2006, a sun
it was the day for x physique..before i forget everything,here goes =]

we gathered @ orchard youth park early in the morning and the flag off was @8am. we were given a map and were supposed to plan our 1st 3 stations...it was the matrix.we were supposed to choose 3 stations to visit out of 9.so we ran from youth park to orchard mrt jus to find out that we were too slow and that station was full..we had to cross over to lido there where there was an empty station..after that we jogged down to douby ghaut mrt and went up fort canning for our second station where we played a quiz kind of game..then we jogged to the esplanade area for our 3rd and last matrix station..after that we were supposed to go shaw towers, i knew where it was, but wasnt too sure and wanted to double check with the map...damn it la...shouldnt have double checked...cos by the time we got there,there was already a queue for the abseiling liao...sians...we were stucked there for about 45 min(although we were 8th in queue) before jon and me could have our turn to abseil down...wa..it was once in a lifetime chance la...abseil down shaw towers...at first like nothing leh..budden i looked over the ledge kenna hung tio lor...11 floors leh...but i didnt die la...after the abseil came the bridge jumping part...we had to jog all the way to oasis bridge at kallang there...we took a shortcut by jogging up shears bridge..wahahaha...anyways after jumping down from the bridge we had to swim quite a distance to shore before heading to our next stop,which was near SDBA there...kayaking!i paired with mingsong...we coordinated well and we overtook 3 kayaks..hehe...anyways our path led us from kallang to clark quay via spore river..the river kan dirty lor..bleahs...we refilled our water source and JOGGED to MARINA SOUTH mrt from there...wa lau...can die man...lucky we didnt lose our way..reached there i saw a huge field of bikes(we submitted our bikes the day before). wa lau..i see liao i was like so happy la...chiong straight to the station master and took my bike..felt so good to get on my bike...wahaha..we were supposed to go one round of the marina south circuit...after leaving our bikes behind at where we started, we had to jog again...lucky this time to somewhere nearer...it was a indoor rockwall..i didnt know got indoor rockwall in the middle of city la..cool man..but anyway the wall was like climbing ladder ar..abit the not hard ar...haha..oh ya then we were pacing another group that was diff category from us...but anyways we paced them since jogging to marina south...they reached the rockwall faster then us...then one of their team member said to us with a guai lan voice and a guai lan face "what took you so long to get here" wa we all hear liao really felt to wack him la...but we didnt..we decided to guai lan him back..his team started the rockwall same time as us...all 4 members had to touch the top...first for his team was him...i was first for our side...i touch the top he still 1/4 thru only..next was jon..he came down the fatso was only 1/2 way thru...then zilin went...the fatso was only 3/4 thru...last was ming song...when ming song came down, the fatso haven even touch the top...he was struggling..eventually he DROPPED down...tsk tsk...we 4 members scale the top liao his team haven even 1 person la...go home la..lol..after the rockwall we had to go play this net thingy at some park nearby...that was the last station...we were to head back to the starting point...but we kinda lost our way for the first time...lucky we reached the ending point eventually...our losing way and the delay at the abseiling cost us precious time..we came in 11th out of 24 jc teams and 22nd out of 50 teams overall...abit disappointing ar...but nvm la..we tried our best..it was fun...but had to bring back bicycles from orchard youth park...lucky got kind taxi driver help...i shall thank him here...his name is Rajendran s/o ramasamy and his vehicle no was SH6813P...he damn nice and pro la...stuffed 4 mountain bikes in his taxi...without him i think i would have been stranded at the youth park liao..thank god man
